TIME TRAVEL 31 takes a look at cine film taken at the first few Gary’s Picnics at Santa Pod starting at Picnic number 1 in 1979 including Rob Whitwell’s Jago 5 window ‘32, Brian Lucas’s ‘32 roadster, Mick Cook’s Camaro, the Hot Rod & Custom U.K. project pickup, Roger Butterworth’s ‘57 Chevy, the French Connection Mustang and the Speed Freak Fordson etc. etc..... Then on to Picnic number 2 in 1980 including a large turnout of ‘55-’57 Chevys and the Mustang owners club, also Pip Biddlecombe’s Austin Ruby Rubellion and Milton Holman’s hydrauliced ‘58 Chevy etc. etc..... Next Picnic number 3 in 1981 including Chris Boyle’s ‘27 track T racing Kieth Atkinson’s Orange A Peel Pop and Rob Sterling’s ‘40 Ford coupe racing Alphabet Alex’s Model A coupe. Also Ian Dawes high riding Pop, Al Stevens nostalgia Pop, Andy Harris’s 302 Mk 1 Zephyr, Ron Harris’s 289 Mk 1 Zephyr, Pete Fowler’s Model A delivery, Mr Torquer, Gone Bananas etc. etc..... Then we jump to Picnic number 5 in 1983 and a look at Nick Artlett’s 302 Mk 1 Zodiac, Mark Tanner’s Model A pickup, Pip Biddlecombe’s Low Blow T, Andy Carter and Dennis Boyle’s Pops, Mike Key’s ‘40 Chevy, Tim Cook’s Model A pickup etc. etc.... Finally on to Picnic number 7 in 1985 including Les Ricket’s Chevy powered Mk 1 Zodiac, Simon Pickford’s ‘32 roadster, Ian Norman’s Popeye Pop, the Northern Hustler Chevy Victor and a large turnout of gassers including Tom Newman’s Corsair and Malcome Jay’s Super Snipe etc. etc.....
